Sound

The soundtrack to our project is a merge of classical music tracks and simple beats. This contributes to the suspense and tension that the footage creates. The heavy breathing creates a sense of fear in the person being persued this makes the audience connect with him. The sound of the footsteps emphasises the running/chase scene.

Filming (cinematography)

We have filmed our project in such a way that you are put in the position of the character that is being chased, we did this by making the camera shake. The camera pans around the main character emphasising the fact that he is being chased.

Filming (setting)

Our project was filmed in remote parts of Newmarket, we decided to contrast the settings of where we filmed. The majority of it is in wide open spaces however there is some footage that is filmed in confined, claustrophobic spaces. We did this to create a sense of desparity for the character who is being pursued by the antagonists.

we've been thinking of the name of the thriller but have not come to a conclusion. we didnt add it onto the rough cut video because we needed inspiration from our finished project. with our footage, we managed to agree on a title that we think fits the genre. We have decided to call it
'CULT'
