Rough Cut

this is our rough cut of our thriller opening. we still need to film extra scenes to make it all make a bit more sense. we havnt actually thought of a name for our thriller

Feedback: Strengths and Improvements

Mise en Scene
-Car park/shed setting is appropriate
-Good outside settings

Cinematography
-The running effect is usefull
-The effect of using a hand held camera worked really well
-Own camera running is good similar to 'Cloverfield'

Editing
-Really good, upbeat lots of shaking camera. Swift/smooth
-Really well made titles
-Proffessional title at the begining
-Really good at the begining 'Like a real film'

Sound
-Fits with the action
-It builds tension
-Music is really good
-Diegetic sound really good (Breathing)
-Sound builds suspense and pase this adds tension.

Genre Conventions
-Asks questions immedialtely
-Fast paced
-Who is he running away from? Questions are being asked

Update

we have chosen to change the story a little as the last one we had didn't work well with the group. we struggled to find appropriate places, which were relevent to our thriller project idea.

Eye Test Shot

The eye is good because t he shot was close enoguh to captures a sense of fear integrity and justification of ambience emitted from side to siede motion of the eye.

Animatic

Our animatic shows us a rough idea of what we plan to film for our thriller project. When the finl footage is filmed it could change from the original ideas we have produced. The animatic is just a foundation for what we want to produce.

Vertigo

This is the first piece of test footage we produced to outline one of the fears we intend to use in our film. It was filmed at the top of addembrookes hospital carpark. We chose to capture the fear of heights because it is a common fear that many people suffer from, therefore they can associate with the footage.

Typewriter test footage

This footage was taken as an example of how a lot of our work will be filmed. There are too many shots of the hands.
